Huckabee Prevails in FoxNews Debate

After a rocky start, brought on by a rehersed attack by Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee surged to win the debate.

The $1,000,000 goal was pasted just after the debate ended. Please browse my past posts while you wait for further recap of the debate.

Fox News tries to pin Huckabee down see the question and response below:

Fox News: Gov. Huckabee, you signed an agreement with the southern baptist convention that you believed that wives should submit to their husbands. Do you really think with that view that you should be President?

Mike Huckabee: You know, I really love that religion is not allowed in the discussion, except when it comes to me, but sure I’ll answer your question. First of all, that is my belief as a Christian. I believe the Bible teaches us the greatest picture of what it is to love in the picture of marriage. It is not a matter of the husband giving 50% and the wife giving 50%, it is about each giving 100% to the other. The submission issue is a picture of both submitting to the Lord … that is my personal belief and I stand by that unashamedly. However, I didn’t impose my beliefs on anyone as Governor and I won’t as President. Oh, and by the way, if anyone thinks my lovely wife Janet just sits back and lets me do anything I want, then they don’t know my wife … our marriage is a partnership.

Ephesians 5:21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

The passage goes on to tell how the wife should submit to the man. The submission is not one of servitude but a commitment to marriage which is a holy union invented and blessed by God.

Further more Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

Should we interpret this as a sexist remark that all men should die?

This is a passage about love and commitment please do not turn it into a passage about hate and inequity

Huckabee wins ABC Republican Debate

Way to go Huckabee. I will be give some input on the topics of discussion.

Foreign policy: This issue becomes a "bash on Huckabee" session. About a month ago Huckabee called Bush's policies "arrogant" and a "Bunker mentality". I disagree with Huckabee on how he stated this but lets ask the classic Hannity question: What would Reagan Do? Please visit this link to learn more

Huckabee calls Romney out on his flip-flops. Romney was against the Surge and Bush's stances before he supported the Surge and Bush's stances. Romney asks Huckabee to let himself to explain his positions to which Huckabee replies, "which one?"

Principles: Romney has no set of values on which his positions are based. He claims his values are derived from the family but has repeatedly claimed anti-family values including not having a definition of marriage, not protecting life, and supporting Gun Control.

Mike Huckabee clarifies the question posed by Bush. Huckabee derives his position for the well being of our country. Mike Huckabee has principles, you may not agree with them but you know where he stands and how he will stand!

Healthcare: I could argue for Huckabee here but the fact is ABC showed socialized medicine in such a bias manner I must defeat the idea in your head that government run healthcare. Last year I went to get my Passport and was promised to get it in 10 weeks. I got it in 20 weeks. This is the government that would be running your healthcare, and you trust them to fix you before time runs out?

Immigration: The panel of candidates all agree that the border must be secured first.

McCain zings Romney on trying to buy votes and negative attack ads.

Huckabee tried to stay out of the issues but I see this as a bad move. Rudy, Mitt, and McCain got most of the play tonight.

Obama v Republicans: Huckabee outlines the differences between himself and Obama. He then draws the similarity of their message of Hope. Huckabee explains that Republicans will loose unless we give Americans a message to hold onto. We must have a positive message and the message of Free market and lower taxes is a message that will raise more people out of poverty than any other.

Energy Independence: Most of the candidates reflect my views that we must become independent because it is a national security issue. Mike Huckabee says it well that when you swipe the card at the gas station you may as well be sending a check to the terrorist. I believe this is true for both the middle east and communist nations like Venezuela.

Revolution in the Muslim World

I am glad to see Moderate Muslims stand up against those who bring a false name to there religion. I believe we are witnessing the first waves in a tsunami of backlash by Moderate Muslims against Islamofasists.

Moderates in Iraq are working with the American troops to expel radical Islamics that would like to do them harm and bring instability to the nation and region.

Moderates in Sudan spoke out against the angry mobs that called for the execution of a British teacher for naming a teddy bear Muhammad.

This is another one of my articles that spans political view and candidate affiliation. No matter how you vote you must know that Islamofasists are the enemy and they are dedicated to the sole destruction of us, our children and our nation.

This war is not about bombs, tanks, or military bases. This war will not be fought traditionally as we have seen. This war will be fought in the hearts, minds, and souls of generations to come. Our greatest ally is the Moderate Muslim and we must embrace their assistance.

A Very Important Issue, Thank You Univision

When it comes to forgien policy most educated poeple think about Iraq, Iran, or China first. The relations with these countries are very important, don't get me wrong but I am scared that there is a Red giant slumbering just south of us.

Hugo Chavez has been seen with Ahmadinejad and Kim Jung Il and most recently held elections to suspend term limits to make him the newest Latin American Communist dictator. These are not things to be taken lightly and the forgien policy we must take towards issues like this must be firm. 51% of the population voted down the consititutional amendment removing term limits. Chavez threatened America with his stakes in the oil industry that we would be cut off if we interferred. Luckily democracy prevailed. I would like to thank Univision for bring up this topic because it seems that no one else will. I also thatnk the aduence for showing Ron Paul his dangerous ideas will not be tolerated. how ever I d find it funny that when the crowd agreed with his isolationist view when it can to Iraq and the Middle East but not Venezuela and Latin America.

Hillary lite

Same nasty taste, half the calories.

Rudy is the product of a scared party. Republicans are scared of hillary and rightly they should be. Her policies are dangerous, not to mention expensive. Any informed voter must know that hillary is the wrong choice, but who else should I vote for? Rudy? Doesn't Rudy side with hillary on almost every issue? Yes. So why Rudy? Because our party is scared. However this is not the correct response to such a fear. Choosing the lesser of two posions is a ignorant way to vote in a democratic society. We have the power. Recently we(students)were referred to generation Q as in quite. Yea we sit behind our computer screens but have you got out there and told someone about your favorite canidate? Have you wrote your congressman a hand written letter? Have you actively participated in the political process? I am not growing up in Generation Q. MY VOICE is hillary's, big government's biggest fear. What about you? Take a chance, speak out, and change the world. Maybe the next person you talk to never heard of Huckabee before. What do you have to lose?

Due to high volume of traffic the Mike Huckabee website is loading very slowly and at times down. Because of this I am very excited. I haven't finished watching the debate yet and when I do I will recap with my thoughts.

Great news

Its been a couple of busy day since I last posted on here. To start off, I got engaged last night to Kristen Marie. So the "girlfriend" I spoke about in the previous post is now the bride to be.
So this brings me to my next point. Mike Huckabee is a strong supporter of marriage. He believe that this is a defining time in history. The American family is falling apart due to the lack of respect for marriage. With heavy tax burdens on the marriage some find it more "conveniant" forgo marriage. This currupts a future generation that will never know the true meaning of the sacred bonds of marriage. I support marriage and so does Mike Huckabee.

My next point is I was officailly added to the Huckabee blogroll. Whoop!

And finially last night when talking to friends I got a response of "I think this Huckabee guy sounds pretty good, I would vote for him". My brother also text messaged me telling me he thought Mike was the best canidate. I hope I can do my part for the campaign. God Bless Huckabee.

Around 10/8/07 I wrote to Mike with a question, here is the email and reply:


Team Huckabee,

My girlfriends parents are both union workers and because of this they
have a hard time voting Republican. Actually that is an understatement,
truly the despise Republicans especially Reagan. They are socially, and
economically(taxes) conservative but due to the propaganda fed to them
by union leaders they vote strait party ticket for Democrats every
election.
I would like to hear about what Mike thinks about on the issue of Union
rights and what could he do to win their vote?
